Acupuncture

Acupuncture originated in ancient China centuries ago, and is used as a method to prevent disease and to bring the body back into harmony when out of balance. With the insertion of very fine needles into a prescription of specific points along the meridian system, treatment of a disorder begins as the body’s self-healing mechanism is activated.

Modern research shows that stimulating acupuncture points has an effect on the nervous system, promotes an increase in the production of endorphins and simultaneously, activates the immune and endocrine systems. This has a healing effect on the parasympathetic system and influences the body’s own internal regulating system. Acupuncture has been proven effective for treating numerous health problems. Acupuncture is deeply relaxing, results are longer lasting and often immediate.
